DEmark Committee Evaluation Steps and Methods

(1) Application Screening

The secretariat reviews applications submitted via DEmark website. Applicants who meet qualifications and provide complete information will be notified to bring works for display for committee evaluation in the next round.

(2) First Round Evaluation

Committee evaluates all works initially and votes Pass/Fail based on all 5 criteria. Exception: For 3 categories (Interior Design, Industrial & IoT, System Service & Digital Platform), applicants must present to the committee. Works receiving votes from more than half of the committee pass to the second round.

(3) Second Round Evaluation

Committee evaluates works passing to the second round by scoring (100 points) using A/B/C criteria: Level A = 80+ points, Level B = 70+ points (committee may discuss for additional consideration), Level C = 60+ points. Works with average score of 80% or higher receive DEmark Award.

(4) BEST DESIGN Selection

DEmark committee nominates 2 works per category for PM's Export Award BEST DESIGN consideration. Additional criteria: export experience or service design experience with international clients or foreign brands in Thailand.

(5) Special Award Consideration

Committee votes on 2 special awards from DEmark recipients: Social Impact Award (outstanding design with social and environmental impact) and Aspiring Designer Award (outstanding work by emerging designers).
